Founded in 1932. Specialities: Biology, Soil science, Forestry, Landscape, Garden and Park Design, Ecology The Department has 2 research laboratories and camps for practical work in the region.

Founded in 1932. Specialities: Chemistry, Environmental Protection and Efficient Use of Natural Resources. The Department has 7 scientific research laboratories.

Department of Geology and Georgraphy
Founded in 1933. Specialities: Geology, Geochemistry, Geography, Hydrology, Meteorology, Environmental Protection and Efficient Use of Natural Resources. It has 7 scientific research laboratories, 4 training laboratories, camp "Shira" for training geological work, geographical station "Aktru" in the Altai Mountains.

Established in 1948. Specialities: Mathematics, Mechanics.

Department of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics
Founded in 1970. Specialities: Applied Mathematics and Information Science, Mathematical Methods in Economics, Computer Security.

Department of Computer Studies
Founded in 1986. Specialities: Mathematical Provision and Administration of Information Systems, Applied Information Science. The Department has 2 scientific research laboratories, production and technical departments to ensure functioning of a unified data-processing network "Informatika".

Department of Physics
Founded in 1948. Specialities: Physics, Physics of Solid, Astronomy, Information Systems and Technologies.

Department of Physics and Engineering
Founded in 1963. Specialities: Engineering Physics, Applied Mechanics, Dynamics and Structural Strength, Design and Production of Goods from Composite Materials, Ballistics, Robots and Robotic Complexes, Physics of Kinetic Phenomena. There is a Russian-Slovenian International Engineering Educational Centre on the department.
Department of Radiophysics
Opened in 1953. Specialities: Radio physics and Electronics, Optical and Electronic Appliances and Systems, Laser Engineering and Laser Beam Technology. There is a Laboratory of Automation of Radio physics Measurements.

Department of History
Founded in 1917 as a part of the Department of History and Philology, separated in 1974. Specialities: History, International Relations, Region Studies, Documentation Science, Documentation Provision of Management. There are scientific research laboratory of Archeology and Ethnography of Siberia, International Research Centre, two training laboratories for students on the department.

Department of Philosophy
Founded in 1987 on the basis of the Department of Philosophy and Logic. Specialities: Philosophy, Social Studies, Political Studies, Social Work.

Department of Philology
Founded in 1917 as a part of the Department of History and Philology, separated in 1974. Speciality: Philology .
Department of Journalism
Founded in 2004. Speciality: Journalism. The Department has a printing office and a photographic laboratory.

Department of Foreign Languages
Established in 1995. Specialities: Theory and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures, Translation and Translation Science.

Department of Psychology
Founded in 1997. Specialities: Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Public Relations, Company Management. There are Psychological Service, Psychological Centre, 2 research laboratories, Siberian Branch of International Academy of Humanistic Psychology on the department.

College of Arts and Culture
Founded in 1994. Specialities: Culture Studies, Choir Conducting, The Piano Playing, Fine Arts, Museum Science, Library Science. There is a laboratory of Methodology and Theory of Culture.

Founded in 1897 as a department, since 1994 it is College. Specialty: Law.

Department of Economics
Founded in 1963. Specialities: Company Management, Finance and Credit, Economics Theory, World Economy, National Economy, Accounting, Analysis and Auditing, Taxes and Taxation.
International Department of Agriculture and Ecology
Founded in 1994 with assistance of the Ohio State University. Specialities: Ecology and Nature Management, Plant Protection, Ecology, Economy and Agricultural and Industrial Management, Agronomics.

International Department of Management
Established as a Russian-American College in 1992, turned into department in 1998. Specialities: World Economy, State and Municipal Administration, Documentation Science, Documentation Provision of Management, Crisis-Proof Management.

Set up in 1991. Now it consists of the following departments: Department of Banking, Department of Commerce, Department of International Relations, Law Department, Department of Economics, Department of Statistics, Academic Department and Department of Target Programs.
